Request form & Quick guide

Accessing Document Supply articles

Medway users

Some departments at Medway require a counter-signature on the form, either the Heads of Department or the project supervisor. Library staff can advise you. If you are based at Medway Campus, refer to the Document Supply information on the Drill Hall Library web page.

Document Supply is a service enabling you to access books and articles not held within the university libraries. First check LibrarySearch in the portal to make sure that the item is not already held within the university libraries.

If you are unable to find the item you require complete a Document Supply Request form. Please give as much information as possible, including a source of reference. If you are requesting an article from a journal please sign the copyright declaration on the form.

Note that a maximum of 5 requests will be processed at any one time.

Brief Suspension of Service

There will be a brief interruption to the Document Supply service in July. We are unable to accept any new requests from the 14th - 28th July whilst we move to a new Library management system. You are advised to submit any requests prior to the 14th July.

If you need material that we do not have access to in the University during this time, we recommend the following.

Join the Sconul Access Scheme:

If you require a book, we may be able to rent it for you via dawsonera in the Online databases and academic journals link in the portal

Please contact Nadine Edwards at if you have any queries.

Apologies for any inconvenience.
