The British Library is experiencing a technology outage and is currently unable to process Document Delivery requests. All requests sent to the British Library just prior to the outage on 31 October 2023 have been cancelled.
If you have a British Library login and your password is used elsewhere, we recommend changing it as a precautionary measure. Our managing your password page provides guidance on staying secure online, including how to create a strong password.
Make sure that you are using a unique and secure password for every service that you access. Please refer to our advice to help you create a secure password.
Document Delivery is a service enabling you to access books and articles not held within the university libraries. First check LibrarySearch in the portal to make sure that the item is not already held within the university libraries.
If you are unable to find the item you require complete the Document Delivery Request form via the link in LibrarySearch. Please give as much information as possible, including a source of reference. If you are requesting an article from a journal.
Note that a maximum of 5 requests will be processed at any one time.
Staff and student members studying or teaching on Greenwich undergraduate or postgraduate degree courses based on campus.
Distance learners in the UK can use Document Delivery to request journal articles not held at the University. It is recommended that you join the SCONUL Access scheme when it resumes to acquire books not held by the University.
