SCONUL Access

SCONUL Access is a scheme which allows the use or borrowing of books and journals at participating libraries to eligible staff and students. There will be NO ACCESS to SCONUL users from Monday 8th April - Friday 17th May 2024

Registering at the University of Greenwich as a SCONUL user

Step One: Join Sconul Access

Register online for the scheme at the SCONUL Access website.

Step Two: Register at University of Greenwich

To register at Avery Hill and Greenwich campus libraries, please complete our online registration form and send a digital passport size photograph and your SCONUL Access membership confirmation email to librarymembership@gre.ac.uk. You can access the library in the intervening period with you Sconul Access email and student ID card. 

You will be notified by email when your University of Greenwich gateway card is ready to collect (please allow up to 5 working days)

For access at our Medway campus library, please visit the library with your home institution ID card and a printed copy of your SCONUL Access membership confirmation email.

Loan entitlements

Full-time undergraduates (band R): Reference access

Staff, postgraduates, distance learners, part-time students (bands A, B and C) 5 loans 

Access to WiFi is available via the eduroam network (to students from participating institutions). Please note that we are unable to provide access to University of Greenwich PCs.Visitors who are experiencing technical problems with eduroam should contact their home institution IT service Desk
