General Library Guide: iPROGRESS

Your guide to our Libraries and the services we provide

What is iPROGRESS?

iPROGRESS is a Moodle course written by library staff to help you make effective use of the library and computing resources and services available to you as a student at the University.

To access the course you have to login to the University of Greenwich student portal. 

Follow these steps:

  • Go to the university home page www.gre.ac.uk
  • From the My Greenwich drop down menu select Student Portal
  • Login with your University of Greenwich username and password. (If you have problems logging in select the Need Help?  link below the login boxes and complete the online support request form)
  • Once logged in select the My learning/Learning support page 
  • Go to the Library Support portlet and select the iPROGRESS information skills course link.
  • NB The first time you use the course you may be prompted to select the Enrol Me button. Once you have done this the course will always appear in your list of Moodle courses.

You can also login directly to iPROGRESS. Just enter your portal username and password.

iPROGRESS

iPROGRESS is a collection of learning resources aimed at helping you use information effectively and ethically in your academic work. It includes the following sections:

  • Information for Academic Study
  • Finding Quality Information on the Internet
  • Referencing
  • Avoiding Plagiarism
  • Locating information for a Project

Completion of the iPROGRESS courses can help enhance your employability skills. If you complete all the courses, you can request a Certificate of Achievement. The certificate recognises completion of the courses stated and it does not bear any credit.
