The Library is investing in a new Library Management System. On the 27th of July we will be changing to a new system for LibrarySearch. Here are few tips to get ready for the switchover:
• Export your LibrarySearch e-Shelf by emailing it to yourself or importing it in to your preferred reference management software. This must be done by the 26th July.
• The reservation system will be unavailable from the 14th – 27th July.
Why is LibrarySearch changing?
The new system will allow us to make improvements to the way you borrow books in the future, bringing benefits for university staff and students, as well as a refreshed look for LibrarySearch.
LibrarySearch is the Library’s main search tool, allowing you to cross search many of our print and online collections in one place. Use LibrarySearch to discover books, full text journal articles, conference papers and proceedings, reports, eBooks and some audio visual content.
LibrarySearch can also be used to identify references to peer-reviewed articles, books and other documents not currently held by the Library, but which we may be able to obtain for you through our Document Supply service.
Find the link to LibrarySearch in the dedicated LibrarySearch channel on the Library & Computing tab in the Student Portal. Alternatively, search in the box below. If you are off-campus or accessing this page on your own device via University Wi-Fi, please refer to our Using Library Search off-campus guide in the Guides for you to download section.
