Celebrating the 5th Anniversary of Stockwell Street

In 2019 we celebrated our fifth anniversary.

All about Stockwell Street Library

Stockwell Street Library covers the subjects of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, Law, Maritime Studies, Post Compulsory Education and Training, Humanities, Business and Sociology.

Nearly 132,000 books are arranged by subject across the three floors with students being able to take out up to 20 books/ DVDs on their account.

An important feature of Stockwell Street Library is that not only are books available in print to borrow, but they are also available digitally via LibrarySearch. The service provides over 11,000 ebooks and over 79,000 full text ejournals.

There are a total of 780 study spaces available across the four floors of the building, with over 200 desktop PCs and 58 iMacs available for students to use.

Library Services available to students

Since the opening of the Academic Skills Hub in 2018, Stockwell Street Library now offers a dedicated Academic Support space for University of Greenwich students.

Some of the services available, provided by the Academic Skills team, are:<

  • One-to-One tutorials with Academic Skills Tutors and Academic Services Librarians
  • Maths and Statistics Help (MASH)
  • Later in the Library - drop in support sessions
  • Various workshops throughout the year, ranging from help getting to grips with LibrarySearch, through to how to put a Dissertation together

IT support is also available to students when visiting Stockwell Street, with an IT support desk manned on weekdays during term time from 9am until 9pm.
