As well as our services outlined above, you also have access to other university libraries through the nationwide library access scheme SCONUL Access. Registering with this scheme allows you to borrow a limited number of books from libraries in the scheme, which may be closer to where you live or work, or simply use them as a place to study. You apply online via the SCONUL Access web site.

Distance learners students can request postal loans using the form in this link www.gre.ac.uk/it-and-library/forms/library/postal-loan-form. If you are a distance learner you can use the form to request books to be sent to you, or scans of book chapters and/or print journal articles.
If you have any queries, please email library@gre.ac.uk. Students must be resident in the UK or BFPO to have books posted out to them.
As a distance learner student, you have access to the library's resources and services. This includes online access to library resources as well as being able to visit any of the three campus libraries in person. Online access to library resources is via the My Learning or Student page in the student portal. To access the portal go to http://portal.gre.ac.uk/.
If you live close enough to visit our libraries you will need to bring your Greenwich Gateway card to gain entry to the libraries, as well as your university username and password if you want to use a computer in the libraries. You are entitled to borrow up to 20 items.
ScanninGREquest is a service for students who are not able to visit our libraries. This services provides extracts from print only books available as a PDF file for essential work, research or study. You can request a chapter from a print book via the book record in LibrarySearch. If the book is on our shelves we intend to supply students with this content within five working days.
Due to copyright restrictions, we can only scan one chapter from a book.

Document Delivery is a service enabling you to access books and articles not held within the university libraries. First check LibrarySearch in the portal to make sure that the item is not already held within the university libraries.
If you are unable to find the item you require complete the Document Delivery Request form via the link in LibrarySearch. Please give as much information as possible, including a source of reference. If you are requesting an article from a journal
Note that a maximum of 5 requests will be processed at any one time.
