  • Academic Writing:

Writing a university essay can be a bit of a challenge and for many students this doesn't come easily. It is not unusual for students to get a poor grade for a piece of work to start with and be asked to resubmit. When this happens it is easy to panic or feel disappointed but there really is no need to be. The best way forward is to learn from your mistakes, to read your tutors feedback and advice and then seek help in improving your work. thankfully, there is a great deal of help available to you in the Academic and Digital Support Team. One of the ways we can help is through our regular Writing workshops where our tutors will be present to give you 121 support with you essay re-write.

For example, take a look at the two, simple, pieces of writing attached bellow. Ask yourself, which one is the weakest and why?
