GREFest - Our festival of learning

Welcome to our international students

Group of studentsWe're very proud of the fact that students from more than 140 countries choose to study at Greenwich and that over 1 in 5 of our students come from outside the United Kingdom.

International students are warmly invited to take part in any of our GREFest sessions - in fact, we have created some workshops specially for you! Just scroll down this page for more details.

GREFest will be streamed live over Microsoft Teams, so if you can't take part in person you can sign up to get involved online, wherever you are in the world. We will email you details of how to join in once you have registered for a session.

Support for international students throughout the year

Help and advice for international students doesn't stop at GREFest; we run a wide range of academic support workshops throughout the yearLook out for our Global English sessions, which we'll be advertising soon!

You can watch recordings of previous academic support workshops here. All recordings are subtitled.

International students' meet-up and question & answer session

Group of students

Join Paul Rees and Katie Jenkins for tips and advice for international students.
We know that, on top of starting uni, you'll have other challenges as an international student - travelling, getting accustomed to new cultures and settling into a new community. We want you to feel supported for the duration of your studies here in Greenwich.
Find out about the International Welcome Programme on Moodle - it has all the information you'll need to start your new life as an international student in Greenwich. Meet other students like yourself, and find out how you can get involved in induction, clubs and societies.

Registration for the International students' meet-up and Q&A session coming soon!

Ask a student: student-to-student question & answer session

Join Academic Support Librarian, Ros Smith, as she talks to a panel of current and recently graduated students about their start at university.

When we speak to students about their start at uni, they often tell us that, although they feel happy and excited, they also feel anxious and nervous about what they will find.

This is your chance to ask your own questions and hear the views of past students on how to prepare for your start at uni and what you should do to ensure you get a good start.

Registration for Ask a student: student-to-student Q&A coming soon!
