Document Delivery

This service provides access to documents not held within the three libraries of the University.

Key Features / Benefits:

Request: Articles; Papers, Books.
Secure electronic delivery of articles via PDF downloads (Must be downloaded within 30 days and viewed within 14).
Notification of arrivals via your University email address.
Maximum of 5 requests in the system at any one time.

SCONUL Access

SCONUL Access is a scheme which allows many university library users to borrow or use books and journals at other libraries which belong to the scheme. To find out more about the scheme, who is eligible, and how it works, explore the links on the left-hand side of the screen.

Complete the online application

Your application will be processed by your home institution library. Waiting times vary; for more information, contact your home institution. Once your application is processed, you will receive an approval email with further details on how to take part in the scheme.

Registering for a Reader Pass

Anyone can apply for a Reader Pass, but due to pressure on their services admission is not guaranteed .

Their registration staff will have an introductory discussion with you about your need to use our collections. Staff may suggest other, more appropriate libraries or sources for your research.

Please note: most books are stored underground and you will need to order the books you wish to see before you go and then collect them from the appropriate reading room. Here is a link for more information about visitng the St Pacras Reading Rooms.
