There is a rich and diverse range of information available to us online and in a variety of formats. As that volume of information grows, information literacy skills are the skills you will need to find, critically evaluate and use information effectively and ethically for a specific purpose.
At university you will have access to a large amount of information, but a large amount of information on its own doesn't make us better informed. You will be challenged to dig deep and think critically about the information you access. You will learn to use and adapt your information literacy skills confidently and effectively in the different situations and contexts that require you to use information.
Completing 'Information Skills for Success' is a good first step in developing your information literacy skills.
Access the course through Moodle, or click here. (You will need to log in as a University of Greenwich student to access this resource).
The course can be completed at any time, at your own pace.
Successful completion of Information Skills for Success will earn you your Information Skills Moodle badge which can be used as evidence of personal and professional development for portfolios.
