Psychology and Counselling

Welcome to the Psychology and Counselling LibGuide!

My name is Ros Smith and I am the Subject Librarian for Psychology and Counselling programmes. My role is to help you access and make effective use of resources you need for your learning and research while you are studying at University of Greenwich. This could include:

  • books, ebooks and book chapters
  • journal articles
  • conference papers
  • UK and international newspapers
  • television and radio programmes
  • statistics
  • other types of information.

I can also help you develop your referencing skills.

You can make a one-to-one appointment with me (face-to-face or online, over Teams) by clicking here or by using the Schedule Appointment option in the left hand column of this page.

I am part of the Academic and Digital Skills Team and we run many general workshops on different aspects of academic skills throughout the year. For more information about our workshops, see the Workshops and Open Door drop-ins section below or visit the our workshops page.

If you have any questions, please contact me by email at r.j.smith@gre.ac.uk or send me a message over Teams.

General Library Guide

Academic Skills Hub

Our AcAcademic Skills Hub Idea logoademic Skills Hub has some great guides that will help get you started with your academic writing and work. There are useful articles which cover all aspects of academic skills and recordings from past workshops that you can watch in your own time.

Workshops and Open Door drop-ins

The Academic and Digital Skills Team delivers weekly academic and library skills workshops, both in-person at campus libraries and online, over Teams. Have a look at what's on offer and sign up for any sessions you're interested in by following the links below in the calendar below.

We also run regular Open Door drop-ins. You don't need to pre-book for these; just come along and receive support and advice from a Subject Librarian or Academic Skills Tutor.

We look forward to meeting you at a workshop or drop-in soon!
