Laura Stephens

Laura Stephens, MA Education: ABC of sustainable pedagogy

Hello! My name is Laura and I’m currently a student and programme representative for the MA Education programme.
I also have a DipHE in Early Childhood and a BA in Early Years with Graduate Practitioner Status. I have worked in the Early Years sector for nearly ten years and I also volunteer with ‘Volunteers for Future’ delivering interactive workshops on animal rights and conservation to children of all ages in local primary schools in London and the Southeast.
ABC of sustainable pedagogyThis ‘ABC of Sustainable Pedagogy’ book was inspired by my interest in ‘Education for Sustainability’ and was part of a portfolio I presented for one of my assignments on the MA Programme.
The design was modelled on the old retro ABC charts, or books, so often found in early years settings, and was intended to be a humorous, yet informative way of encouraging teachers and practitioners to reflect on their practice and support children towards a more sustainable future.
