We have now extended our on-campus services to include a limited number of socially distanced computer desks and study spaces at Drill Hall and Stockwell Street Libraries. These will be delivered in a managed way, in line with our Covid-Secure Planning Guidance and risk assessment, to ensure everyone remains safe.
100 study spaces will be available Drill Hall Library; 44 are PC Desks and 56 are Desks without a PC. These spaces are available for students and staff of the Universities at Medway Partnership. Pre-booking is not required, although we recommend that you familiarise yourself with the information below about Study Spaces.
Please note that bookings in Stockwell Street Library are currently available until Friday 11th September inclusive. Booking arrangements from 14th September onwards will be made available in due course.
You can now make a booking for one of our study spaces in Stockwell Street. Choose between one of our 16 available spaces: PC Desk (7), iMac Desk (1), Red Study Booth (4) or Study Desk (4). Each booking is an eight hour block for one person between 9am and 5pm.
You must book at least one day in advance. Booking slots are made available seven days in advance. To ensure fair access, you can only book one study space per day. Before you arrive, we recommend that you familiarise yourself with the information below about Study Spaces. All bookings will be approved manually. Bookings submitted by 2pm will be confirmed the same working day.
Stockwell Street study spaces cannot be used without booking in advance, and you must leave the library by 5pm at the latest. As capacity is extremely limited, please only book a date that you are going to use and cancel any booking that you are unable to attend to free the slot for other users. Cancellations can only be made before the booking starts, and bookings cannot be amended or changed on site by library staff.
No group facilities are currently available at Stockwell Street Library, and only specified areas of the ground floor are available for use. Should you have any accessibility requirements, please speak to the member of staff at the Reception Desk of the library on your arrival, and they will assist you further. Eating and drinking is permitted (no hot food), but please keep this to a minimum, clean your hands regularly, and wear a face covering at all other times.
