This is a guide to information resources for the Greenwich Business School

LSEG Eikon

UPDATE 30/05/2025:

The Eikon platform will be retired 30/06/2025. It will be replaced by LSEG Workspace. There may be a period of downtime in early July before Workspace is available for use. Login procedures will change, and information about this will be published in this guide shortly.

LSEG Eikon is a financial data and analysis platform. It contains current and historical financial, company and economic data and news from LSEG, including data on financial instruments, debt and stock markets and foreign exchanges.

You can access the web version of Eikon, on- or off-campus.

To login to Eikon, you need to request a specific username and password. To request an Eikon username and password, complete the request form below. It may take up to 3 working days before you receive your details.

If you have problems logging in, email: eikon@gre.ac.uk

Alternatively, by using one of the dedicated computers on Level 1of Stockwell St Library or in Queen Anne 274, you can access Datastream and further functionality not available via the web version.

The Greenwich Business School librarians can help with enquiries such accessing and navigating the Eikon platform.

Expert help and training provided by LSEG Eikon

When you are logged into Eikon, you can select the help button from the top right of the toolbar or open the menu and select Help.

For training, visit the LSEG Learning Centre. Log in with your Greenwich email address to access videos and courses.

You can change the interface language in Eikon from English to another language of your choice. Instructions are available here. 

Important: if you change the interface language to one other than English, please change it back to English before you log out.

Request an Eikon username and password (please allow up to 3 working days for a response)

Bloomberg Trading Room

The Bloomberg Trading Room at the University of Greenwich is a hub of financial exploration and real-world application. The room can be found in the Dreadnought Building.

The Bloomberg Trading Room is not administered by the Library. It is used to teach students on undergraduate and postgraduate taught Accounting and Finance degrees. Other Greenwich Business School students may be able to use the facility by joining one of the room's scheduled drop in sessions.
