Dual Projection Room Touch Panel Instructions

PLEASE DO NOT INDIVIDUALLY TURN OFF SCREENS OR PIECES OF KIT. PLEASE USE THE "SHUTDOWN" BUTTON ON THE CONTROL PANEL.

Turning the system on:

  • If the panel is dark, it is in energy saving mode. Tap the touch panel to wake it up

  • You will be brought to the welcome screen that says “Welcome to” followed by the room number

  • Tap again and you will be brought to the home interface

  • At this point the projectors are still off and nothing is being displayed
  • Select the source that you want (for example, tap PC - this button will then go green to show this is the selected source)
  • Choose where you want to send this source to:
    • Just the local monitor (by tapping “Preview”)
    • Either one of the projectors or both (by tapping the Projector buttons)
    • Both the local monitor and the projectors (by tapping all three buttons)
  • Once you first send a source to Projector 1 and 2 these will say “warming” to show they are coming on
  • When the start-up sequence has completed, you will see what source is being displayed underneath the each of the projector buttons

Turning the system off:

  • Press the Shutdown button in the bottom right corner

  • You will then be prompted to confirm that you wish to shut the system down

  • Press “Yes” to confirm and you will be taken to the welcome screen again. The system is now off

  • To use the doc cam, tap the “doc cam” source and send it to the local monitor and the projectors by tapping “Preview”, “Projector 1”, “Projector 2”
  • The doc cam will then be displayed across all three
  • To use the doc cam, use the controls on the device itself

  • When done, switch back to PC by selecting the source and sending it to the local monitor and projectors
  • There are two external connection options: HDMI and VGA

  • To use the HDMI connection, plug the cable into your laptop and send “Laptop HDMI” to both projectors
  • To use the VGA connection, plug the cable into your laptop and send “Laptop VGA” to both projectors. Remember to also plug in the sound connection attached to the cable
  • Mac users: for both VGA and HDMI, you may need to select the correct audio output in Sound Settings on your laptop

  • You can select and send different sources to each projector. For example:
    • Tap Doc cam and send it to Projector 1
    • Tap Laptop HDMI and send it to Preview and Projector 2
    • You are then able to, for example, show your slides on the projector and the lectern monitor, and use the doc cam to show any demonstrations using pen and paper
    • Please note: the sound will follow the last source selected, so if you first select Laptop HDMI to send to Projector 2 and then doc cam to send to Projector 1, you will not have any audio from your laptop. If you select doc cam to send to Projector 1 and then Laptop HDMI to send to Projector 2 you will have sound from your laptop

Camera control (where a camera is installed)

  • The camera is set on a shot of the podium
  • To adjust the camera angle, press “Room Settings” in the top right corner of the touch panel
  • Use the up/down/left/right arrows and the “Zoom” function to adjust the shot as needed

Volume adjustment

  • To mute the audio in the room, press the speaker in a circle with a line through it
  • To turn the volume up or down, press the speaker up or down buttons as needed

Blanking

  • To blank the projection while setting up (so the audience do not see your process, or perhaps for privacy reasons), press the “Blank” button. This will now flash to show the projection is blanked. When ready to present, simply press the “Blank” button again to unblank
  • Please note – in some rooms there will be blank buttons for each projector individually
