Projectors

Staff are asked to always power down systems from the touch panel unless the next lecturer has arrived for their lecture.

• Our projectors take less than a minute to power up
• There may not be a lecture booked after yours so please power down
• Power down extends the life of the projector, reducing their failure and potential disruption for you.
• Projectors last approximately 20000 hours and need to be replaced in their entirety and cost upwards of £2000 per unit
• Bulbs last approximately 1,750 hours and cost £500 to replace
• The estimated annual cost of running projectors in vacant rooms across the university is £2000. This equates to .4 tonnes of carbon.

The following items are recommended for use on all drywipe boards (especially Teacher Boards in Stockwell Street):

• Pilot Drywipe Marker Pens and Refills
• SkyBrush Eraser
• Office Depot General Purpose Cleaner (spray)
• Microfibre cleaning cloth
