IT and Library Supported Classrooms: Wireless Presentation - BYOD

Your guide to our classrooms and AV equipment

Wireless Presentation - BYOD

Bring your own device (BYOD) refers to the policy of permitting staff and students to bring personally owned devices (laptops, tablets, and smart phones) to the University, and to use those devices to access internally hosted University information and applications.

Some rooms have Mersive Solstice pods to allow 1080p HD wireless presentations from your own laptop or phone. This works with Windows managed and unmanaged devices, Libnet laptops, all Apple devices. Android is currently not supported. This technology removes the need for other equipment (such as adapters and cables), allows free movement around the space and facilitates student collaboration.

Further information about Mersive Solstice pods, including user guidance, can be found at: Using Solstice
